In side the box we get the manual with how to set this up. It also comes with the camera itself, and then a bunch of accessories like an Ethernet cord to set it up, a mount and some screws so you can put it up on a wall or something. It also comes with a charger which outputs 5volts at 1 amp, and it actually doesn’t give out enough juice to power the camera, so they should fix that, cause it is pretty disappointing, but if you have usb port on an outlet or a 2 amp charger already, it is not a problem.
So to set this camera up, it is pretty complicated, and there are a lot of steps, but once it is setup, it works pretty well. What ever you do, just don’t try to set this up over wifi, don’t do it, it gave me so many problems. So you can go to the google play store or the app store for iphones and download their app and create an account, it will ask you to add a device, and there will be a QR code on the original box, scan that, and then it will ask you how to set it up, the best way is to plug it in and select the LAN cable setup.
Once the ip cam added to your account you are pretty much done. There are a bunch of different settings you can configure. You can hang it on the ceiling and then you can flip the video. The camera have a tripod mount to attack to your tripod for height. You can also turn on a motion detection feature, you can record the video straight to your phone, or save it to a micro SD card on the security camera. You can also talk with someone on your phone that is near the camera, you can send your voice over to the camera and it will play out of the speakers.
The video quality is very clear, and you can move the camera from the app by dragging your finger across the screen. You can also zoom in, which zooms in on the 720 video, it does not physically zoom in. I set this up at home and was able to access it from work, so you can access it from anywhere with internet.
This camera also has a night function, so when the lighting gets too dim, the camera will switch to the night mode, which does a good job and displaying everything in low light.
